JACKIE SLATTERY MIACP
Jackie is an Accredited counsellor, experienced in working with individuals and couples presenting with a number of issues including, depression, stress, anxiety, self esteem and bereavement and loss. She has a growing speciality in relationship issues and in particular the relationship we have with ourselves, a relationship which impacts on our lives in so many ways. While her work is based on an Integrative & Humanistic approach, she draws upon different therapeutic models according to individual needs.
Jackie trained as a counsellor with ACCORD at NUI Maynooth and holds a Higher Diploma in Counselling (Relationship & Marriage) and also an advanced Certificate in Adlerian Psychology & Counselling Skills. Jackie subsequently trained as a Play Therapist at the Children’s Therapy Centre and holds a Diploma in Child Psychotherapy & Play Therapy. She works with adolescents and children, using play therapy with younger children as they best express themselves through play.
Jackie is an Accredited member of the IACP. She has worked as a counsellor with Accord for the past number of years, working with both individuals and couples. She has worked as a play therapist both within the school setting and most recently in private practice at the Clonmel Counselling Centre.
